On this page, you will find a list of several ways to help CLS earn extra money for books, supplies, reading programs and anything else that needs fundraising. These are easy things that everyone can do! Whether you take the time to participate in one or all of these programs, remember that every little bit counts to help CLS continue to provide a quality Christian education. Tell your grandparents and neighbors and get everyone you know involved in helping out Community Lutheran School.

TARGET- TAKE CHARGE OF EDUCATION

You can use this program even if you don’t regularly shop at Target. Here’s how it works: Apply for and receive a Target Credit Card, Visit Target.com/tcoe or call 1-800-316-6142 to designate our school, then use your REDcard whenever you shop. When you use your REDcardSM (Target® Visa® Credit Card, Target Credit CardSM or Target Check CardSM), Target will donate up to 1% of your purchases to the eligible K–12 school of your choice.*

The Target Visa card is a regular Visa card so you can use it anywhere you currently use a credit card and all of your purchases help our school raise money. As a bonus to you, when you accumulate 1000 points, you receive a 10% off certificate for a day of shopping at Target.

Don’t have a REDcard? It’s easy to apply. Get started in person at any Target store or go to Target.com/redcard. Grandparents, alumni, friends and neighbors are all welcome to participate in the program.

The more people we involve, the harder the program works for our school. If you’re already participating, thank you! Through August 2009, CLS has already received over $4500 through this program.

Check out our school’s progress anytime at Target.com/tcoe.

CLS SCRIP

Using the CLS Scrip program is an easy way to donate money to the school without actually giving extra money out of your budget. CLS Scrip gift cards can be purchased to use for your everyday, grocery, gift and special occasion items. These gift cards are just like you would buy in the store. The difference is these cards are bought with a set percentage of the sales going to the school. The school has a wide variety of cards on hand at all times. Special orders (for those big weekend projects) are sent in on Monday a.m. with delivery from the distributor on Wednesday or Thursday. On average, 5% of the scrip you purchase goes right to the school. If you buy an average of $200 per week, that adds up to $520 per year that goes to the school just for you buying groceries. You may send a list of what you would like in your child's Friday folder, to the school's email address, by phone, etc. If you have any questions or would like a list of participating vendors, please contact the Klinger office at 279-3968. CLS Scrip profits for last quarter were $455.90 and $1955.75 for the last year. These make great gifts for that hard to shop for person for birthdays, holidays and anniversaries!
