MEET THE TEACHER 

Name: Elizabeth George

Family (growing up and now): My parents are divorced, but both of them were active in my life growing up. My mother remarried and now I have a wonderful stepfather, as well. I have one little brother and one little sister. I was married this summer and now live in Iowa with my husband and our two cats, Layla and Bandit.

Where from: I am originally from Monrovia, Indiana.

Likes/interests/hobbies: I enjoy hiking, playing ultimate Frisbee, and watching movies. I was on a small Frisbee team in college that traveled to local tournaments to play. I also love to be outdoors. On my honeymoon, we went hiking daily. We hiked to the top of three mountains, and even saw a bear. I like to garden and I can’t wait until I have my own yard to plant. To relax, my husband and I watch movies and pop popcorn once a week. It is a great way to wind down and learn new things.

What do you like about CLS? I love the feeling of community in this school. Everyone is very thoughtful and caring. Thestudents all care about one another and make an effort to help each other in any way they can. The staff goes out of their way to help anyone who may have a question or problem. As a first year teacher, I have many questions and everyone has been very helpful in answering them. If I have a problem, I know that I can count on my fellow staff members to help me.
